Are you “shelf-motivated”? Join the Book Spine Poetry Contest!
Join the latest poetry craze sweeping the nation. Book Spine Poetry is made by hitting the library shelves to find books with good titles, then piling up the books and letting the spines create a poem from the interaction of the titles. On Monday, April 25th and Tuesday morning April 26th, the Mortola Library will host our department’s Book Spine Poetry Competition. Students, faculty, entire classes will go to the library’s Reference desk to get a set of directions. Then, they’ll make and display Book Spine Poems. On Tuesday, April 26th the poets can see their work acclaimed at the English Department’s Celebration of Writing in the Butcher Suite at 12:15.
