Book Talk with Professor Michael Schiavi at the Birnbaum Library

Join us Wednesday October 10th at 5 pm for a talk with Prof. Michael Schiavi on the life of activist and film scholar Vito Russo. Vito Russo was the author of and one of the founders of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and the AIDS action group ACT UP. Prof. Schiavi’s recent book Celluloid Activist follows Vito’s life from his childhood in East Harlem to his activist days and his early death from AIDS. This talk is co-sponsored by the LGBTQA & Social Justice Center.
